Aesthetically the earlier cases were better.
I feel that the cases and molding shape was better on the earlier models. The etching of the glass seemed more pleasing and like a true effort to be special rather than like just another trophy. I was disappointed to find the plate as this was a gift for my wife on our 56th anniversary and it just doesn't seem as special as all our others did. It is great quality overall though and this is my only real complaint with any of them.

2nd attempt at contact, PROMPT reply and now happy
I originally rated the case as 1 star because I paid extra for a black suede base, but the case arrived with the standard mirror base. However, after my second attempt to fill out a contact form, I received a prompt call and email stating the suede would be cut and mailed out to me very soon. The case is very nice and I would recommend it.
